Credible Paranormal would like to thank you for visiting our website. We
have come a long way in such a short period of time, and it is due, in large part, to the sincerity, well-wishes, and messages
of gratitude that we receive from people from all over the country for the work that we are doing. It is very difficult
for legitimate researchers of paranormal phenomena to exist and operate due to the vast network of ghost hunters that
now dominate this field of study. This is due to the lack of accountability within this community that allows the hobby
investigator to claim high levels of skepticism, intentions of rationalization of phenomena, and a scientific approach to
the study of paranormal phenomena while employing tools, tactics, and motivations that do not reflect that mission.
In short, the ghost hunter is the biggest obstacle that investigators of anomalous phenomena face in their own respective
missions. Am I saying there is a difference between the ghost hunter and investigators of paranormal claims and phenomena?
Absolutely.
We could once again go into a long diatribe about what is wrong with the
ghost hunting community as it relates to the thankless field of paranormal research, but it is something that you already
understand. The very fact that your search for an honest team of paranormal investigators led you to this website speaks
volumes. You have a strong feeling, be it based on experience, belief, or theory, that paranormal occurrences may genuinely
happen and occur, but you know that the big names in ghost hunting that have created the monstrous ghost hunting community
will never be able to increase the likelihood that answers to your burning questions will be found. They have created
a role-playing community that has many members with far-reaching influence that acts to define paranormal research in
a manner that is self-serving. Our very understanding of what IS paranormal is being changed and molded by the 'ghost
hunter' to suit their needs which do not necessarily reflect your need to find answers.
So what makes Credible Paranormal so different than the ghost hunting community? On the surface, we may look very
much like them. We investigate claims of ghosts, deploy our cameras and audio equipment, and spend long
hours in the dead of night trying to document ghostly occurrences. What sets us apart, however, is our willingness
to criticize our own methods, tactics, and pursuits and realign our priorities within our research to meet our
long term goal of bridging the gap between the paranormal research, and mainstream scientific communities. We do this
because we understand that no group of ghost hunters will ever prove the existence of ghosts, ghoulies, psychic phenomena, or
any other belief structure that is based, for the large part, on mythology, lore, and second, and third hand accounts. Only
mainstream science can do this, if at all, because it will take time, funding, and levels of education that the common-man
does not have. Yet that is who makes up the body of the paranormal research community with no exception to Credible
Paranormal. We are made up of people from all walks of life with vastly different life experience.
Yet, we understand our limitations. We realize that the best we can hope to do is contribute
to a scientific endeavour that will be so far reaching and vast that our small contribution to it will be long forgotten and
uncredited. The contribution we can reasonably expect to make to this endeavour can be the catalyst for the legitimate
consideration of paranormal phenomena by mainstream science, in the form of the discovery of a location that displays genuine,
paranormal phenomena that is dependable and frequent, and then secure that location so that credible witnesses and observers
can come in to scrutinize the phenomena. If the phenomena holds true to scrutiny, then a new area of legitimate scientific
study may be born that could finally provide answers to the questions that many of us have about our world, our lives, and
beyond. Credible Paranormal's mission consists of the discovery of that unique location.
We also realize that there is a stigma that hampers our efforts. The ghost hunting community has created a stereotype
by which all investigators of anomalous phenomena are judged, so we have to make a strong effort to gain the trust
of the skeptical community. We pledge to accomplish this by distancing ourselves from the ghost hunting
community who has veered from the path of legitimate study of unusual phenomena. We have to represent
ourselves in a fashion that shows we have the mental capacity to accept that paranormal phenomena as we believe it to
exist, may not exist at all. We will not embrace theories that were formulated outside of our own experiences
and research. We do not attribute sources to the phenomena we investigate, therefore we do not place phenomena
into categories as being caused by ghosts, demons, poltergeists, or any other beings based in folklore, religion,
or mythology. Instead, we place phenomena into categories that pertain to the effect being witnessed or experienced
such as visual, audible, kinetic, etc.... Does this mean that we do not believe in these types of sources of seemingly
paranormal phenomena? No, not at all. We all have our personal belief structures, but we choose to leave our personal
opinions out of our investigations, and concentrate solely on documenting the phenomena that people claim to experience.
We do not interfere or influence the witnesses interpretation of the event or personal belief structures. We simply
set out to document the phenomena attributed to those belief structures.
