The museum is located on the State of Texas Fair grounds. There are train cars
there of historical significance, two of which were parts of the trains that carried President Roosevelt and Bobby Kennedy
as part of their funeral processions.
There were going to be four investigators present,
one of which failed to confirm whether or not he intended on being there, and the other just didn't show. Jimmy showed
up, however, and it was to be his first investigation.
We sat up the Canon GL2 in the parlor car getting pretty much the shot you see here. Ardis
went over a few bits of protocol with Jimmy about the collection of audio samples.

Ardis placed a trigger object ( this small ball with a bell in it) on the floor and placed a Micro-Tesla
meter along side it. This was an experiment to see if the ball could be compelled to move by an unseen force, and if
so, would the energy required to move it be measurable?

And that was about it for that mini-investigation. The guys felt hampered
in their ability to cover much ground in the time they had since they were two investigators-fewer than what they
were expecting. Eventually, the investigation came to and end and the playing began as Ardis and Jimmy climbed up onto
some of the steam engines. They got some good training time in for Jimmy, and then had a blast exploring the museum.
The only interesting thing that happened occurred on the parlor car. Jimmy and Ardis had heard the faint
sound of music playing from somewhere. They searched the car but found no source. Jimmy decided to step outside to see if
he could still hear the music. While he was doing so, Ardis requested that if anyone was there, could they please make
some sort of noise to verify it. Immediately, three or four tapping sounds came from this cold, and un-used space
heater directly in front of him. He snapped a photograph and discovered a face in the lower right hand corner of the
window. Click on the photograph to see a larger view.
NOTE: We do not consider this as evidence
of the paranormal. It is just a trick of the shadows produced by the bends and folds of the window shade. This
is a phenomenon known as matrixing which is our brain's ability to find familiar images, such as a face, in a jumbled
pattern. This photo simply demonstrates that phenomenon.
