History

Credible Paranormal Investigations was founded by Ardis Stembridge in 2006.  Ardis became interested in the paranormal at a very young age and began to formulate theories and beliefs about the subject of ghosts based on what was available in the form of books and magazines on the shelves of his local library. He spent many years walking the grounds of local cemeteries and abandoned buildings with his 35mm camera strapped around his neck in hopes of catching an orb or apparition on film.

As he became older and wiser, he discovered that everything he thought he knew about the paranormal was based upon the legends, myths, and lies that now plague the field of paranormal research.  He realized that the persona of the paranormal researcher was being defined by the army of charlatan ghost hunters and hobby investigators that now make up the ruling class of the paranormal research community.

He finally decided to take a stand against the dust-chasers and the mounds of evidential garbage that they produce, so he created Credible Paranormal Investigations.

Our Mission

Our mission is a lofty one - Investigate claims of the paranormal with the hopes of proving or disproving the phenomena, while doing so in a manner that might bring credibility to the field of paranormal research.

The main-stream scientific community will not give the paranormal researcher the time of day, and rightly so.  Just like the groups that produced them and the means by which they were collected, the evidence that is being presented to the skeptics by ghost hunters these days has been utterly ridiculous and embarrassing.

To counter this trend, Credible Paranormal Investigations was founded with a new direction and a newer, stricter set of protocol that we hope will inspire a new generation of paranormal researchers who want to do things the right way and for the right reasons.

Unlike the average group of ghost hunters out there, we do not run or hide from the skeptics.  Instead, we have chosen to embrace the opposition and their ideas and critiques of our data.  We view them as a valuable source of protocol, as well as the target audience for any evidence that we might collect.

We have a strict policy about not charging clients for investigations, nor do we pay to have access to supposedly haunted locations.  All investigations are kept low key, as well as confidential if the client requests it.

We do not enter an investigation with a predetermined belief that a location is indeed haunted.  We first set out to uncover more rational explanations of the phenomena that is being experienced.  We feel we would be doing a far greater service to the client if we can set their minds at ease about what they are experiencing. If we can't find rational explanations, then we will look to the paranormal.  We hold high value in our ability to debunk activity. To date, we have never claimed an investigation site to be haunted, or a piece of evidence to be paranormal.

We do not "cleanse" supposedly haunted locations, nor do we claim to have this ability. Our purpose is that of research and validation only.  We will do our best to set our clients minds at ease by either debunking the phenomena, or by giving advice on how best to live with the activity that is being experienced.

Give us a call if you feel you are experiencing something paranormal.
